To The First is SKY-HI's 15th digital single, released on April 28, 2021. It was used as the theme song for THE FIRST Audition, and was used as the VS Professional Artist Screening song during the fourth round.
The top 11 contestants from THE FIRST got to record and release their own version on July 19, 2021.
BE:FIRST recorded and released their own version as a bonus track on their first album BE:1 on August 31, 2022.

Background and release[]

To The First was written about SKY-HI and all the boys who would be participating in THE FIRST, with the intention of reflecting everyone's feelings. [1] It was written by SKY-HI to represent their enthusiasm, and the lyrics as well as the emotional sound that spreads majestically remind us of the flames of passion and the beginning of a challenge. [2]. It is a song of support for all those who are pursuing their dreams and goals, and for all those who are trying to face things that are not going the way they want to. [3]
It was used as the theme song for THE FIRST Audition, and was used as the VS Professional Artist Screening song during the fourth round. For that reason, the top 11 contestants (Aile The Shota, JUNON, LEO, RYOKI, SOTA, MANATO, RAN, REIKO, SHUNTO, RYUHEI and RUI) got to record and release their own version on July 19, 2021.
On November 25, 2021 the Music Video won Best Hip Hop Video at the MTV VMAJ 2021. [4]
On August 31, 2022, BE:FIRST released their own version as a bonus track on their first album, BE:1.
