TAKUTO (タクト), birth name Kawaberi Takuto (川縁拓途), is a Japanese singer and dancer under Japanese management company BMSG as a member of boy group MAZZEL, formed through documentary program MISSIONx2. He made his debut with the group in May 2023.
Before joining BMSG, TAKUTO was a professional backdancer who worked with many different Japanese artists such as Chanmina, Nissy and Hirate Yurina.

Early Life

Takuto started dancing when he was 8 years old at ZEAL Studios . He started dancing professionally when he turned 17 years old and was featured in many concerts and tours, as well as music videos.

2020-2021

In October 2020 he started working as one of former Keyakizaka46 member Hirate Yurina's backdancers (where he worked with SOTA). He was featured in the music videos for "Dance no Riyuu" and "Kakegae no Nai Sekai" and he made a few TV appearences with her over the years.
Around November 2020 he also started working as one of Chanmina's regular backdancers. His first job was the rehearsals for Holy Moly Holy Night, where he first met SKY-HI. As part of her crew, he performed at many of her concerts and live appearances.
In February 2021 he was featured in the music video for Nissy's "Get You Back".
In August 2021 he was featured in the music video for Honda Miyu's "Dilemma".

2022

During 2022, TAKUTO took part in MISSIONx2.

2023

On February 10, TAKUTO was revealed to be a member of MAZZEL.

• RYUKI: He became close with RYUKI since being a part of MAZZEL and will take him out for meals and let RYUKI stay in his house often (so RYUKI can play Switch).

TAKUTO's name is taken from two words: 開拓 (かいたく) and 途中 (とちゅう). TAKU (拓) is from the word, "pioneer" (開拓 / かいたく), while TO is from the word, "on the way" (途中 / とちゅう). TO can also be read as (途 / みち), meaning "journey", and 開拓 (かいたく) has the word for "open" (開く / ひらく), so his name means to pave the way for people and open a path.

Takuto has a total of 7 tattoos: 1 behind his left ear and 6 in his left forearm. The first one he got was the one behind his ear, which reads MCMXCVIII (1998, his birth year, in roman numerals) The next set, which he got around May-June 2020, are a UFO and a solar system The next set, which he got between July 2020 and June 2021, are a hand holding a wand, a wall with a smiley face and an unidentified one The most recent one, which he got between October 2021 and March 2022, is a jester Among MAZZEL, the members consider him and SEITO the kindest members. He was in the swimming and soccer clubs in school. Once he started dancing, he liked it so much that he remembers telling his mom he wants to drop swimming classes. He has the biggest appetite out of everyone in MAZZEL Among MAZZEL, him and NAOYA like nail polish the most. He likes to paint his nails when he has free time and has his own set of nail polish (plus accessories) at home. He often sings while he is doing chores at home. He thinks 2023 for MAZZEL can be summed up in the kanji for happiness (幸) For his solo activities, besides singing and dancing, he'd like to do competitive eating and to eat spicy food on variety shows
