TAIKI (タイキ), birth name Mizoguchi Taiki (溝口太基), is a Japanese teenage rapper and trainee of Japanese management company BMSG. He is currently pursuing various activities to prepare him for his eventual debut.
Before joining the company, he took part in the audition show THE FIRST, where he made top 15, and was a trainee under Avex Management. He also released his own music and took part in many MC battles and other events.

Early Life[]

Taiki started taking dancing lessons at Avex Artist Academy Tokyo at 10 years old. At the same age, he started rapping, influenced by his father.
Over the years, he participated in many MC battles and other rap and hip hop related events.
On December 30, 2020, he released his first single, KAZOKU, written when he was in the fourth grade of elementary school.

2021[]

In February, Taiki auditioned for THE FIRST and passed the Quality screening round in Tokyo (conducted in-person) with his self-composed rap "Michi no Tochuu", and "RGTO" feat. SALU, H. TEFLON & K. Dabushaion by AKLO (dance performance). He ranked 11th after this round.

In THE FIRST Artisism screening, Taiki performed his original rap "PLAN" and was placed in Team D (with Kaji Takuma, Orito Shunsuke, Nishikawa Masayoshi, Tamiya Rintaro) to perform "BACK TO BACK" by Da-iCE. He ranked 9th after this round and successfully continued on to THE FIRST training camp.

During THE FIRST training camp Creativity screening, Taiki was placed in Team C with Shota, Shunto, Reiko, and Rui. The song they created in this round is titled "YOLO". Unfortunately, he was eliminated after this round.

On July 28 he released his second single, Yakusoku.

On August 15 he performed at Break Park 2021 [1]

On September 12 he released his third single, TO DO LIST.

On September 23, the tracklist for SKY-HI's album Hachimenroppi was revealed. It included 14th Syndrome, a song that featured Taiki along with the other two 14 year olds from THE FIRST, edhiii boi and RUI.

On November 26, it was announced that he would take part in the THE FIRST FINAL concert alongside his fellow THE FIRST contestants on January 29 and 30, 2022.

2022[]

On January 29 and 30, he performed in THE FIRST FINAL.
In March, he was a guest at SKY-HI HALL TOUR 2022 -Hachimenroppi-.
On April 8, he appeared as a surprise guest at the BMSG Artist Showcase 2022, where it was announced he would be joining BMSG as a trainee.
On April 20, he was featured in the NO -remix- by edhiii boi.
On April 27, he was a guest at Amazon Music BREAKTHROUGH JAPAN Live.
On June 27, it was announced he would be releasing a split EP titled 15th Dream with edhiii boi and RUI - first as a digital release on July 1, then as a CD on July 2.
From July, to September he was one of the opening acts in the SKY-HI HALL TOUR 2022 -Cho Hachimenroppi-.
On August 21, he performed at FREEDOM Aozora 2022 Awajishima as an opening act with edhiii boi and RUI.
On September 17 and 18 he performed at BMSG FES '22.
On September 18 he released New Chapter as a part of BMSG ALLSTARS.

2023[]

On June 18, he performed as the opening act for the SKY-HI ARENA TOUR 2023 -BOSSDOM- alongside RUI and KANON.
On July 31 and August 2, he performed at the BMSG TRAINEE Showcase 2023 with REIKO, RUI, and KANON.
On September 6, he released his digital single KARATE KID - his first since joining BMSG.
On September 18, he released The Sun from the EAST as part of BMSG EAST.
During the last two weekends in September, he performed at BMSG FES '23.

2024[]

On January 11, he along with trainees RUI and KANON were announced as new members of "QJ Camera Club" in which they will take turns writing a weekly series of photo diaries for QJWeb Quick Japan Web.
On March 27, he competed in The 19th High School RAP Championship but was eliminated in the first round after facing off with the previous year's champion. However their match was selected as a "Best Bout" from the tournament.
From May 4 - June 16, he, RUI, and KANON were the opening acts for SKY-HI's nationwide tour, SKY-HI TOUR 2024.
On June 30, he, RUI, and KANON were in their first starring television program, BMSG TRAINEE TOREHAN! ~Trainee Trend Hunter~!, which aired on TV Kanagawa.
On August 15, it was announced he was cast as the title character of the film Yoyogi Johnny no Yuutsuu na Houkago, which is slated to release in Spring 2025.
On September 13, he, RUI, and KANON performed a TV Osaka YATAI Fes! 2024.
On September 18, he released Glitch as part of BMSG GAIA.
From September 21-23, he performed at BMSG FES '24 where it was announced he, RUI, and KANON were confirmed members of the next BMSG group "S" and the remaining members will be chosen from a new audition titled THE LAST PIECE.
On October 6, he, RUI, and KANON performed a free live in Nagoya.
From October 23 - November 11, he will perform at BMSG TRAINEE Showcase 2024 tour.
On October 27, he, RUI, and KANON performed a free live in Fukuoka.
On November 3, he will perform at TGC teen 2024 Winter with RUI and KANON.
On November 6, the song Forked Road, sung with RUI and KANON, served as the ending theme for the Pokémon web series POKÉTOON and was released on November 7.
On November 11, he will release the joint EP, Forked Road, with RUI and KANON, which will feature his solo song 24/7.
On November 26, he will take part in BMSG presents THE GAME CENTER, BMSG's first ever Sports Day event.
