Swan's War is a collaborative digital single by BMSG SKY, a unit consisting of soloists SKY-HI and REIKO; BE:FIRST members MANATO and RYUHEI; MAZZEL members SEITO, NAOYA, and RYUKI; and trainee RUI.

It was released on September 18, 2024 to commemorate BMSG's fourth anniversary.

Background and Release

BMSG SKY's formation was announced July 2, 2024. Team leader SKY-HI, along with Aile The Shota and Novel Core, held a random selection of the members with whom they would each create this year's BMSG anniversary songs. As leader, SKY-HI served as the main producer for his team.

"This song was produced with BMSG SKY producer SKY-HI and producer Ryosuke "Dr.R" Sakai, who has worked on songs for three consecutive years, including the theme song for BMSG FES '22's New Chapter" and BMSG FES'23's "The Sun from the EAST" and "The Moon in the WEST". SKY-HI, who has roots in a variety of music with a focus on hip-hop, and Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai, a producer who is active in Japan and abroad, collaborated to create an uplifting beat that evokes the sense of a page opening in a story. The eight members sing and weave their way in a microphone relay style expressing the aesthetics and strength of "dreaming so unreasonably that people laugh at you.' This song is the true essence of BMSG, who fight in a down-to-earth yet vivid manner like the ugly duckling."

SKY-HI's Comment:

"In celebration of BMSG's 4th Anniversary, we have formed 3 shuffle units. That's right, it's a grand play lol. We, BMSG SKY, will add the flavor of HIP-HOP from the mid 2000s and advocate for rap music with a further playfulness while following the lineage of New Chapter and EAST/WEST up until now. The atmosphere of the song does a 180 every time the member singing passes the mic making it a must repeat!"
