New Chapter is a digital collaboration single by BMSG ALLSTARS, BMSG's entire lineup of artists and trainees: SKY-HI, Novel Core, BE:FIRST (SOTA, SHUNTO, MANATO, RYUHEI, JUNON, RYOKI, LEO), Aile The Shota, edhiii boi, RAN, REIKO, RUI and TAIKI. It was released on September 18, 2022 to commemorate the company's second anniversary of its founding and their move into a new era.
In January 2023, a special DVD/Blu-ray featuring behind the scenes content from the Music Video shooting and interviews with the members was released.

Background and release

On September 17 2022, at the end of the first night of BMSG FES '22, BMSG announced something would be revealed on the 18th at midnight relating to "新章突入" ("Entering a new chapter"), a slogan which had first been used during the company's Shibuya Jack event back in June and has been used to promote their continuous moves forward.

When the date finally changed, the single New Chapter was released along with its music video. All fifteen members of BMSG took part in the song under the unit name BMSG ALLSTARS. It was performed live for the first time at BMSG FES '22 just hours before the release. It is a "special song in which the BMSG ALLSTARS perform a mic relay over a hip-hop track by Ryosuke "Dr.R" Sakai."

Like BMSG FES, the music video "depicts a 'NEO EDO'-inspired worldview, with a large scale set that is based on the themes of the end of the century, period dramas, and the near future. It was filmed on a large set with more than 20 action extras. In the last scene, the members of BMSG perform a dance choreographed by SOTA of BE:FIRST on the stage of BMSG FES."

SKY-HI's comment on the song and video:

When someone asks "What is BMSG?" we have created a work that will make them understand all at once. I think this song and music video prove it better than any amount of eloquence in writing.

We're not going to follow trends and we are not going to settle for popularity, numbers, or business success.
I'm not even going to say that we are changing the times. I'm just continuing to present who we are, as the already and ever-changing voice of the times calls us to be.
We are seriously trying to create culture itself, and we don't have time to sit on the laurels of a single project or hit piece.

BMSG is just getting started.

The song was promoted through a series of billboards in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Sapporo, reminiscing of the Shibuya Jack
