MILLION BILLION (full title Amazon Music MILLION BILLION), is a radio show featuring the members of BE:FIRST. The radio show airs every Saturday from 17:00 to 17:54 on J-WAVE (81.3 FM). It had its first broadcast on October 1, 2022.
About[]
BE:FIRST has set records one after another, starting with Shining One, followed by 1 Million, 10 Million, and 100 Million, but the world is still a big place in this day and age when the Internet has made the world overseas really close, and it can be said that they have yet to reach billions of people.
This is the beginning of the next story of BE:FIRST, which is taking the next step forward to become a group that deserves the label "Billion".[1]
Format[]
The show features two members of BE:FIRST as "navigators" (DJs) each week. They choose the music they'll play during the program and discuss about it and other topics. On the right we've featured a non official playlist of their choices every week.
There's also a monthly "challenge corner" which was originally sponsored by Yahoo Japan's streaming service GYAO!. Each month a different member faced a new challenge to help the group grow and take it to the next level. The video footage of this corner was available on GYAO! and the talk portion was aired along with the regular navigators' talk on the radio.
In April 2023 GYAO! ended its service thus ending the video streaming portion of the show. However, the program continued on as J-WAVE MILLION BILLION with challenges now focusing on aspects of music and culture that the members are currently interested in.
In June 2023 the show joined up with Amazon Music and was renamed Amazon Music MILLION BILLION while continuing their broadcast on J-WAVE.
On June 10, BE:FIRST launched the MILLION BILLION PODCAST, streamed exclusively on Amazon Music, which has more a free talk feel and includes messages and questions from listeners.
From October 2023 - April 2024 the monthly member projects included videos released exclusively on streaming platform Twitch.
