KANON (カノン), birth name Yumoto Kanon (湯本日穏), is a Japanese singer and dancer and trainee of Japanese management company BMSG.
Before joining BMSG, KANON took part in the audition program MISSIONx2 where he was one of the 10 finalists, resulting in him getting a trainee contract.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Kanon used to be part of theater troupe Youth Theatre Japan [1], where he received lessons three to four times a week. [2] As part of their roster, he participated in some theater productions.
In December 2021, he took part in the English Vocal Election singing contest, where he came in third place in the middle school division of the North Kanto Regional. [3]

2022[]

During 2022, KANON participated in MISSIONx2.

2023[]

On April 3, it was announced that he had joined BMSG as a trainee.
On June 18, he performed as the opening act for the SKY-HI ARENA TOUR 2023 -BOSSDOM- alongside TAIKI and RUI. On July 31 and August 2, he performed at the BMSG TRAINEE Showcase 2023 with REIKO, RUI, and TAIKI.
On August 21, he and RUI released their digital single Koe.
On September 18, he released The Sun from the EAST as part of BMSG EAST.
During the last two weekends of September, he performed at BMSG FES '23.

2024[]

On January 11, he along with trainees RUI and TAIKI were announced as new members of "QJ Camera Club" in which they will take turns writing a weekly series of photo diaries for QJWeb Quick Japan Web.
He served as the narrator for MAZZEL's documentary film From Maze to Parade, which premiered March 1 on YouTube.
From May 4 - June 16 he, RUI, and TAIKI were the opening acts for SKY-HI's nationwide tour, SKY-HI TOUR 2024.
On June 30, he, RUI, and TAIKI were in their first starring television program, BMSG TRAINEE TOREHAN! ~Trainee Trend Hunter~!, which aired on TV Kanagawa.
On September 13, he, RUI, and TAIKI performed a TV Osaka YATAI Fes! 2024.
On September 18, he released Memoria as part of BMSG MARINE.
From September 21-23, he performed at BMSG FES '24 where it was announced he, RUI, and TAIKI were confirmed members of the next BMSG group "S" and the remaining members will be chosen from a new audition titled THE LAST PIECE.
On October 6, he, RUI, and TAIKI performed a free live in Nagoya.
From October 23 - November 11, he will perform at BMSG TRAINEE Showcase 2024 tour.
On October 27, he, RUI, and TAIKI performed a free live in Fukuoka.
On November 3, he will perform at TGC teen 2024 Winter with RUI and TAIKI.
On November 6, the song Forked Road, sung with RUI and TAIKI, served as the ending theme for the Pokémon web series POKÉTOON and was released on November 7.
On November 11, he will release the joint EP, Forked Road, with RUI and TAIKI, which will feature his solo song Make you....
On November 26, he will take part in BMSG presents THE GAME CENTER, BMSG's first ever Sports Day event.
