HPY (pronounced "hippie") is a digital single by SKY-HI. It was released February 12, 2024.

Background and Release[]

One week prior to the single's release, it was announced SKY-HI would be appearing on the February 12 episode of music program CDTV LIVE! LIVE! however the song he would perform had not yet been named.

On February 7, the single was announced with the news that it would be releasing in just five days making his appearance on CDTV the song's first TV performance.

It was produced by SKY-HI's long time collaborator Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai and cowritten with Daisuke Nakamura and Carol Redl. It carries the theme of "living at your own pace, respecting your own values and not being influenced by those around you, which are the first steps to loving yourself and to loving others."[1]

The song is the anthem for SKY-HI's latest live tour SKY-HI TOUR 2024 -HPY LIFE-.
