HAL (ハル, born November 19, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese singer, dancer and trainee of Japanese management company BMSG. He is currently pursuing various activities to prepare him for his eventual debut.
Prior to joining BMSG, HAL trained at EXPG Tokyo and was a member of training unit ABLAZE[1].
Biography[]
Early Life[]
HAL started dancing at 4 years old, and at the same age he started training full contact karate. While he immensely enjoyed dancing, he struggled greatly with karate, being particularly bad at kumite, but good at kata, which he found helpful for dancing. After four years of tears (which he considers responsible for the moles under his eyes), he gave up karate without ever getting his black belt and continued with dancing[2].
2024[]
On March 31, HAL graduated from EXPG Tokyo[3].
In April, HAL joined the BMSG Trainees and was first spotted in September at BMSG FES '24 as one of the backdancers and trainee interviewers, but his status remained undisclosed until December 24.

When he joined BMSG as a trainee, HAL was a 3rd year middle school (9th grade) student.
As of April 2025, he is a 1st year high school (10th grade) student.
When he was in middle school, he would spend his breaks talking with his classmates or friends, and he didn't join any clubs. He liked to sit at the back seat by the window, because he could stare out at the schoolyard during class. He wasn't one to study much, and he regrets it now that he's in high school[4].
