Don't Wake Me Up is a collaboration song between British DJ Jonas Blue and Japanese boy group BE:FIRST. It was released as a digital single on July 13, 2022.
Background and release[]
On July 7, BE:FIRST announced that the group would be featured in a Japanese version of "Don't Wake Me Up", a song originally by British DJ Jonas Blue and US boyband Why Don't We.
The song would be a part of Jonas Blue's new year-round collaborative project "Together".
This collaboration was born from SKY-HI's good business and personal relationship with Universal Music Japan executive officer Iguchi Masaya, which was born from Iguchi's interest in BMSG's founding statement about changing the music industry's old ways. [1]
The lyric video was released on July 22, in celebration of the song hitting 1 million listens on YouTube.
The choreography of the song is by kooouya of the award-winning dance group GANMI.[2]
