Bare-Bare is SKY-HI's 16th digital single released on April 13, 2022. The song was created for coffee brand C COFFEE's commercial in which he appeared. It was later included as the sixth track on his album THE DEBUT, which was released on December 12, 2022.

Background and release[]

On April 8, 2022, it was announced SKY-HI would be releasing a new digital single on April 13.

The song was created for coffee brand C COFFEE's commercial in which SKY-HI appeared. He co-wrote the lyrics and topline with Aile The Shota, and the percussive and groovy track track was produced by beat maker hokuto.[1]

They wrote the song with the message: "Rather than decorating yourself with brands, status and filters, it's more essential to refine your naked mind and body without those things, and people who live their lives as they are, not as anyone else, are beautiful." It is a cheering song that pushes listeners to affirm themselves in this age when we tend to lose sight of ourselves.[1]

SKY-HI worked with hokuto previously on his single me time, which was also a song for C COFFEE.
Aile The Shota makes a cameo in the music video where he is seen working alongside SKY-HI and also crossing paths with him in the city -- giving a nod to his own music video for AURORA TOKIO.

SKY-HI gave the first performance of the song during the final show of SKY-HI HALL TOUR 2022 -Hachimenroppi-.
