14th Syndrome is the ninth track on SKY-HI's album, Hachimenroppi, released October 27, 2021. It features BMSG solo artist edhiii boi, and THE FIRST contestants/trainees RUI and TAIKI who were all 14 years old at the time.

Background

The tracklist for SKY-HI's album, Hachimenroppi was revealed on September 23, 2021, which included 14th Syndrome, featuring RUI, TAIKI and edhiii boi.
At the time TAIKI had not yet become a BMSG trainee and edhiii boi's identity was unknown.

Following the album's October 27 release, the music video premiered on November 10. Through the music video it was confirmed that edhiii boi is Uchino Sota from THE FIRST.

As the trio were all 14 years old at time, the playful song revolves around the theme of "myself in 20 years."

TAIKI's Air Force Ones

• The "extra cast" kids who appear during the office scene are all part of SOTA's Studio HANA! class' special dance crew DWM
• TAIKI had a pair of Air Force Ones custom made for the shooting of the MV, which included the name of the song and of everyone involved. The 1 in "14th Syndrome" was modeled after the logo of THE FIRST. He has only worn them that time and never again because he thought it would be a waste.
